Fuel islands, canopies, car washes, and store windows cleaned at night with 200-degree water at 4,500 PSI. We vacuum up the wash water before it can reach a storm drain.

A Bay Area Exterior Cleaning technician runs a hot-water surface cleaner across a gas station forecourt at night, with steam rising off the concrete beside the fuel pumps.

About our gas station pressure washing service

A gas station forecourt collects more oil and grime than almost any other pavement. Cars drip motor oil at the pump, drivers spill fuel when they top off, and tires track in dirt from the street. The concrete pads around the fuel islands soak all of it up and stain. Add gum at the store entrance, and a station can look run down within weeks, however clean the store is inside. For most drivers, the forecourt is the first thing they see of your business.

We start by treating the fuel, oil, and grease stains with chemicals made to break them down. Then we pressure wash the entire surface at 4,500 PSI with water heated past 200 degrees, which lifts oil out of the concrete where cold water would only spread it around. The same visit can include a heavy rinse-down of the canopy, the car wash if your station has one, and the store windows, inside and out.

Many Bay Area property owners put off hiring a pressure washing company because they don't know where the water will go. Wash water from a gas station carries the cleaning chemicals plus the fuel and oil lifted out of the concrete, and letting it run into a storm drain is against the law. We cover the drains before we start and collect the wash water on site.

We can work at night, so the cleaning doesn't get in the way of business. Book a single cleaning, or set up recurring service twice a week, weekly, twice a month, or monthly, whatever your station needs. If you own or manage several stations, we'll put them on one proposal and one schedule. We're licensed and insured, and we've cleaned Bay Area properties since 2018.

Truck-mounted water reclamation

Our trucks carry water reclamation systems: a high-powered vacuum, heavy-duty hoses, and a 300-gallon tank. With the storm drains covered, the vacuum pulls the wash water and everything in it into the tank, so it never runs off the lot.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a gas station be cleaned?

Whatever the station needs: a one-time cleaning, or recurring service twice a week, weekly, twice a month, or monthly. Busy stations usually need more frequent visits to keep the pump pads from staining. We'll recommend a schedule when we see the site.

Can you remove fuel and oil stains from the concrete?

Yes. We treat fuel, oil, and grease stains with chemicals made to break them down, then wash the whole surface at 4,500 PSI with water over 200 degrees. Stains that have soaked into the concrete for years may lighten a lot rather than disappear, so we'll tell you what to expect when we walk the lot.

Do you recover the wash water?

Yes, on every gas station job. We cover the storm drains before we start, and a truck-mounted vacuum collects the wash water into a 300-gallon tank. Water carrying cleaning chemicals, fuel, and oil can't legally go down a storm drain in the Bay Area, so recovery is part of every job we quote.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Bay Area Exterior Cleaning is licensed and insured, and we've cleaned Bay Area homes and businesses since 2018.

Can you clean at night?

Yes. We can come at night, after your busy hours, so the cleaning stays out of your customers' way.

Do you clean the canopy, car wash, and store windows too?

Yes. We give the canopy a heavy rinse-down, clean the car wash at stations that have one, and wash the store windows inside and out. All of it can happen on the same visit as the forecourt.

Do you service more than one station?

Yes. Tell us how many locations you have and where they are, and we'll put together one proposal with a schedule for each station.

How much does gas station pressure washing cost?

It depends on the size of the lot, the number of fuel islands, how heavy the staining is, what you add (the canopy, the car wash, the windows), and how often you want service. Every proposal is free and carries no obligation. Call or text us a few details, or request a proposal online.
